Healthy Work Environments

Healthy work environments are essential for patient and family safety, and are a critical component for nurse retention and recruitment. Alumna Helene M. Burns, DNP, RN, NEA-BC (DNP ’18) shares her wisdom and experiences from her 35-year career focused in patient care services and nursing operations. We also hear from alumna Salina Smialek (BSN ’16), and recent graduate Saira Ramessar (BSN ’19), on their own experiences and expectations of what a healthy work environment means.
