Tracey Robertson Bell

Dr. Bell graduated from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice was obtained from Duke University in North Carolina.   She is an instructor for Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE program.

An area of interest for Dr. Bell is the expansion of the nursing role and scope of practice in a global aspect.  She has been a member of Global Collaboration Centers, Council of International Neonatal Nurses and worked with a team on the Mandela Washington Fellowship.  As part of her duties for those committees, she was involved in developing curriculum for neonatal nurses in various international regions.

In addition to sharing the various aspects of the NNP role internationally, Dr. Bell has been involved in attempts to rectify the issue of lack of diversity in higher education.  She is working in her professional path is to identify and implement strategies and interventions that will increase diversity in recruitment and retention of minority studies and minority nursing faculty.
