School of Nursing Spring Commencement Ceremony

At the School of Nursing Spring Commencement Ceremony, graduates from each of the academic programs will be recognized – bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and certificate programs.

Nursing Commencement FAQs

Regalia, Cords & Graduation Central

All graduates must wear academic regalia for the ceremony.
Online regalia orders can be placed at: Shop Regalia.

The cost for regalia for Pittsburgh campus students is:

Bachelor's regalia set: $61
Master's regalia set: $66
Doctoral regalia set: $80

Please note the DNP hood is peach.

Graduation Central will be held on:

Tuesday, April 8 & Wednesday, April 9, 2025
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
University Store on Fifth

At this event, undergraduate and graduate students will be able to pick-up their pre-ordered regalia and also purchase regalia in-person.

Honor cords will be distributed by the School of Nursing Student Affairs office (room 240) starting April 8.

Tickets

Hard copy tickets will be distributed to graduates. The graduate will be responsible for forwarding the tickets to their guests. Graduates will be notified when the tickets are available.

Ceremony Livestream

The ceremony will be livestreamed and recorded for those guests unable to attend the event. The link will be available closer to the event.

Day-Of Details

8:30 a.m. - Doors open for seating
8:45 a.m. - Graduates arrive and check in at the registration table
9:00 a.m. - Graduate group photographs
9:40 a.m. - Graduates line up for processional
10:00 a.m. - Ceremony begins
11:30 p.m. - Ceremony ends

Accessible Guest Drop-off / Pick-up area

There is a semi-circle driveway on Forbes Avenue in front of Carnegie Music Hall. This entrance to the building is accessible and guests can be dropped off and picked up in this area. There will be signage in front of this entrance noting the School of Nursing Commencement Ceremony.

Please note, do not park in this area.

Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh / Carnegie Music Hall has a multi-level parking garage, located at the corner of Forbes Avenue and South Craig Street
Soldiers & Sailors Parking Garage, located at 4101 Fifth Avenue
