Four Pitt Nursing alumni were given top honors by Pittsburgh Magazine in the publications 7th annual Excellence in Nursing Awards.
Brett Fadgen (MSN ’11) received the Excellence in Nursing Advanced Practitioner award, Jill Demirci (PhD ’12, MSN ’10, BSN ‘05 and current faculty member) received the Excellence in Nursing Research award, Carl Ross (PhD ’00, BSN ‘85) received the Excellence in Nursing Academic award and Camellia Herisko (DNP ’12, MSN ‘97) received the Excellence in Nursing Leadership/Executive award.
Brayden Kameg (DNP ’19, BSN ‘16 and current faculty member) received an honorable mention in the academic category.
A panel of 18 respected nursing professionals reviewed 136 nominations for the 8 award categories. It’s the most Excellence in Nursing nominations Pittsburgh Magazine has ever received.
