Kerry Quisenberry, DNP, CRNA
Biography
Dr. Kerry Quisenberry earned her BSN (1992), MSN (anesthesia, 2000) and DNP (2020) from Youngstown State University, University of Akron, and Case Western Reserve University. Her DNP scholarly project focused on Student Nurse Anesthetists’ Perceptions of Resilience in an MSN Nurse Anesthesia Program. Dr. Quisenberry served as a Continued Professional Certification (CPC) Item Writer for the NBCRNA from 2016-2019.
Dr. Quisenberry worked as a full-time Instructor in the MSN/DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing Case Western Reserve University from 2014-2022 where she lectured in basic and advanced anesthesia courses while co-coordinating the Obstetrics and Advanced Principles of Anesthesia courses. Dr Quisenberry also currently serves as Faculty Lecturer for Northwest Anesthesia Seminars (NWAS) where she lectures to peers on numerous topics since 2019.
Scholarly Emphasis
Dr. Quisenberry’s scholarly research focuses on Factors affecting the success of a labor epidural for pain management, Resilience in DNP Nurse Anesthesia students, Burnout and stress among Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Longitudinal assessment of the integration of problem-based learning scenarios for both formative and summative assessment, and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) after Cesarean Section.
Teaching
Dr. Quisenberry teaches across the curriculum in the Basic Principles, Advanced Principles 1-3 and the Applied Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology 1 and 2 course series, and works as a member of the didactic faculty while maintaining her role as a didactic and clinical instructor of OB anesthesia.
Service
Dr. Quisenberry has a long history of service to the Nurse Anesthesia profession and plans to continue being active in the Ohio State Association of Nurse Anesthetists (OSANA). As a member of the Nurse Anesthesia Faculty she will serve on the Nurse Anesthesia Program Clinical Advisory Board (CAB), DNP Council, Total Faculty Organization and NAP Admissions Committee.
Clinical Emphasis
Dr. Quisenberry currently maintains credentials at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. She works as a primary CRNA in the obstetrics unit. Her previous clinical experiences include work in facilities ranging from a Tertiary Care Center to rural CRNA practice.
