What current Pitt Nursing DNP students are saying about the Nurse Anesthesia program:
My time at Pitt has introduced me to not only incredible learning opportunities, but also the most supportive faculty and welcoming community. The advanced simulation lab and highly credentialed program attracted me, but it is the encouraging, kind students and faculty that made me realize I made the best decision in choosing Pitt.

My name is Niksy, and I am in the Class of 2026 cohort. During the first couple weeks of my first semester, I was extremely overwhelmed and had major imposter syndrome. Hearing the faculty tell my cohort that they are here to support us and then continuing to check on us throughout the first semester really eased my anxiety. I also greatly appreciated how the faculty made an effort to get to know me personally, making me feel like more than just another student in their program. One of the main reasons I chose PITT as my top program during the application process was the way the faculty made me feel heard and seen as an individual during my interview. They have continued to make me feel valued and recognized throughout my time here. I also really appreciate the comradery between my peers in the cohort. The supportive and collaborative environment within my cohort has not only created amazing friendships but also strengthened my experience in the program.

I have had the opportunity to attend the University of Pittsburgh for both my undergraduate and graduate education. From the interview process at Pitt throughout my admission into the anesthesia program and progression from semester to semester, I have received an incredible amount of support and encouragement from Pitt faculty. The professors are experts in anesthesia, both didactically and clinically. They care about you both as an individual and as a student. Pitt faculty have been graduating successful nurse anesthetists for over 20 years, and their graduates go on to do great things. I couldn’t be prouder to attend a school as distinguished as Pitt.
